WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED

Acts 16:30

The answer to this question is, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." (Acts 16:31) This is an important question because your response determines whether you will have a home in heaven or spend forever in hell. Jesus said, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

God wants to save you.

Jesus said, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) God loves and cares about you as a person. God even knows the number of hairs on your head. (Matthew 10:30) God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to die on the bloody cross to forgive your sins.

You need to be saved.

Paul wrote, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) and "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23) All persons need to be saved because all persons have sinned. All of us know in the heart that we have not always done what we know is right. (James 4:17) Because all have sinned, all persons have died a spiritual death. Sin will separate us from God in this life and in the life to come.

You can be saved.

Paul declared, "But God showed His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) He explained, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be save." (Romans 10:9)

You can be saved because Jesus died for your sins. All persons deserved to be punished for their sins, but Jesus was punished in the sinners' place on the cross. Jesus did not stay dead. He arose by the power of God. Because of this great power, Jesus can give you everlasting life.

God will save you.

Peter said, "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." (Acts 3:19) The bible says, "For whosoever shalt call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

Are you ready to turn from your sin to Jesus? Will you believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ and receive everlasting life? Is there any good reason not to receive Jesus? Then, right now ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into your heart.

Prayer: "Dear God, I have sinned and need your forgiveness. I believe Jesus died for me and rose again. Please save me right now. Amen." Did you ask Jesus to save you? If so, remember that Jesus promised to save those who call upon Him. (Romans 10:13)
